My current research largely stems from my dissertation project. In that project I am developing a new theory of shared intention. I use this theory to advance the conversation in three separate debates in applied and normative ethics. This approach makes a contribution to the existing, and rapidly developing, literature in shared agency. Existing accounts of shared intention are helpful in making sense of less complex group acts, but my theory offers a way to explain how shared intentions, and moral responsibility, function in complex collections of individuals and groups. In addition to this project, I continue to work on a variety of topics in applied ethics.
